Michael Howard Congratulates Local Queen’s Award For Voluntary Service Winners
Folkestone and Hythe MP Michael Howard has congratulated Shepway Volunteer Centre on winning the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
Mr Howard wrote to Janet Johnson at the centre and said: “This award in recognition of all the wonderful work the centre does to provide voluntary transport services to aged, frail, disabled and socially isolated residents in the Shepway area is very much deserved.”
Mr Howard added: “I was pleased to be able to endorse the Shepway Volunteer Centre Transport Service’s application to the judges in September 2004 and am delighted that the service has received the recognition it deserves.”
