Solutions found over Operation Stack 

Following a letter from Michael Howard's Constituency office to the Highways Agency suggesting a contra flow to help solve the torment of local people on the M20 we have received a response saying that they are planning to implement this through a pilot scheme in the near future.

Following discussions with the Highways Agency today we have learnt that the funding for these pilot schemes is available from existing budgets. We have also learned that a medium solution of a contraflow using concrete barriers that can be implemented quicker than with cones is being looked at and that in the long term they are still looking for an alternative to using the M20.
